Ansie Kitching is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. Ansie has experience as an educational psychologist, working in school and higher education institution contexts in South Africa, since 1990. The focus of her research over the past 6 years
is on the promotion of holistic well-being in South African school communities. She mainly applies qualitative and participatory methodologies. She works in close collaboration with the Department of Basic Education to ensure that her research informs practice. She also regularly acts as consultant for Non-profit organisations and Trusts, working in school contexts. Ansie is an accredited Circle Solutions trainer.
Current projects include: Developing an integrated multi-level process to facilitate sustainable holistic well-being in South African schools.
