Denise Quinlan specialises in the science of well-being. She has spoken at international conferences on well-being, published in international journals and book chapters on topics of positive psychology, resilience and well-being. She is an active researcher and well-being practitioner. She translates the latest scientific evidence into practical tools to help people develop their own well-being and build well-being workplaces. She is the developer of the Awesome Us strengths programme, successfully tested in NZ schools and shown to enhance a range of important outcomes: student well-being, engagement for learning, relatedness and class climate. Students and teachers found the programme fun, interesting and worthwhile. Teachers who have taken part in Awesome Us say they find it stimulating and will keep using it in their classrooms.
